The Role : The Advanced Control and Emission Systems (ACES) team at General Motors is seeking a Senior Advanced Control and Software Engineer to support Advanced Technical Work (ATW) projects in the Electrification domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for innovation, demonstrating a proactive approach to identifying and implementing creative solutions that drive progress and enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, knowledge in the electrification control domain, including motor control, power electronics, and bi-directional charging, is essential. This enthusiasm for exploring new ideas and technologies will be crucial in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and inspiring collaboration within the team. What You’ll Do • Lead a team to execute Advanced Technical Work (ATW) projects • Collaborate with cross functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables • Develop control methods and controller software code • Develop calibrations and/or calibration methods • Perform modeling and simulation • Verify control methods/software on SIL/HIL test bench and/or developmental vehicles • Perform system verification based on stakeholder or project requirements
