About the position The Software Engineer, Intermediate position at the State of Michigan's Department of Technology, Management and Budget involves serving as a Senior Application Developer within the Eligibility Division. The role focuses on providing production support, evaluating and developing technical solutions, and maintaining applications that support the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS). The position requires expertise in web development technologies, particularly JAVA and PL/SQL, to enhance and upgrade existing systems. Responsibilities • Provide production support for applications within the Eligibility Division. , • Evaluate possible solutions and develop alternative solutions for technical issues. , • Recommend technical modifications to improve application performance. , • Design, develop, and maintain applications across multiple platforms. , • Utilize web development technologies including JAVA and PL/SQL for the Bridges project. , • Develop and maintain reports associated with client support processes. , • Create documentation for all areas of responsibility, including navigation and data processes. Requirements • Bachelor's degree with 21 semester credits in computer science, data processing, or related fields. , • Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11. , • Alternate qualifications include an associate's degree with relevant credits and two years of experience, or high school completion with four years of relevant experience.
