Audio–Lighting Engineer

OVERVIEW

The Audio–Lighting Engineer supports the overall week-to-week technical needs of audio, lights, and backline equipment required for all church services and events at Venture Church. The Audio–Lighting Engineer must have sensibilities for providing distraction-free worship and teaching experiences in a dynamic church environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·     Primary engineer and oversight of all Front of House (FOH) audio and lighting.

·     Provide AVL support to Worship Ministries Pastor and teams, including professional assistance to the tech team volunteers during all live services and events.

·     Ensure that all media content for all services and events is prepared and accurate for presentation.

·     Execute all stage setup and teardown.

·     Maintain all AVL elements and keep tech booth and backstage areas clean and organized.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

·     1–3 years relevant experience in FOH live audio or media production.

·     Professional working knowledge (and troubleshooting) of audio and lighting systems.

·     Ability to work under pressure with grace and gratitude.

·     Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a creative team.

·     A keenness for content creation and storytelling through AVL production.

CONTRACT WORK

Work includes days, nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Weekly:      

Sundays,  7:30A – 1:00P

Thursday evenings,  6:00P – 8:30P

2nd Sunday evening of each month,  6:30P – 8:30P
